In a historic vote 68 to 32, the Senate passed the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act (S. 744). Virginia Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine both voted for S. 744 and we thank them for their support. Now the push for reform moves to the House of Representatives which looks to be a tougher battle.

The Virginia Coalition for Immigrant Rights (VACIR), on Wednesday, July 3th, held a STATEWIDE CONFERENCE CALL to address historic passing of the Senate bill as well as advocacy efforts currently underway across Virginia to push for reform in the House.
