Crossing the Bridge for Immigration Reform – The Walk

Walk with us from Arlington Virginia to U.S. Capitol (area # 10) and talk with representative Eric Cantor and Bob Goodlatte.

WHO:  Members of Virginia Coalition for Immigrant Rights (VACIR), DREAMers of Virginia, faith community, unions, advocacy organizations and everybody who understands the urgency of immigration reform

WHAT: Walk from Arlington, Virginia to the Capitol in DC. Start from Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church at 3304 Washington Blvd Arlington, VA 22201 cross the Key Bridge, and march through Georgetown to get to the US Capitol (area # 10). We will convene at Lutheran Church of the Reformation 212 East Capitol Street, NE  Washington, DC 20003-1036 for resting and planning legislative visit. The walkers will call upon Congressional leaders to address the issue of immigration reform with due urgency and pass reform legislation that includes a path to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants residing in the United States.

Walkers will deliver petitions to Congressman Eric Cantor. Please sign the PETITION here
